One Final Christmas Present

Although we were sad to have the LePeavy family leave, we were so fortunate to have more family around this Christmas. Jaima and kids arrived on Sunday evening and stayed with us Monday and Tuesday night. We enjoyed going to lunch at Lucky Pie and then swimming at the Louisville Rec Center on Monday and then shopping and a movie and lunch at Cinnebarre on Tuesday. 

At home, we enjoyed playing Pit and Things with the kids and having the kids have a great time doing Legos, Xbox, IPad, staying up late and chatting, and just being together. Having the Geiserts here and having time with my sister was definitely a wonderful Christmas gift.

Christmas 2014

A wonderful few days with Marshall's family here in Louisville. It was a winter wonderland filled with laughter, food, and family time. The boys were great with their little cousin and having this time always reminds that it would be so nice to have family closer. However, we will just have to cherish these special times we have.

It wasn't a white Christmas when we woke up, but it certainly was when we went to bed. 

Stockings. Breakfast. Gift opening. Patience while the boys waited out the hack on the xbox network. Legos. Sporting a flat-brimmed cap and Bronco jersey. Fun with the selfie stick. Driving to the airport in less than ideal conditions. Family. Chili. More gifts. Much to be thankful for today and always. 

I Believe

All the fixings for Santa and his reindeer were prepared by T-man (including peeling the carrots). He personalized it with a note he had received from his teacher. It warmed my heart. I believe too, T-man. Merry Christmas.

The Peavy Plague

It's been a week since the flu hit Marshall, and unfortunately, it is still hangin around. Each boy only went to school one day this week and T-man still had a fever this morning. While it's great to have them home, they have been able to do little more than watch videos and play their iPads. We have watched several holiday movies and enjoyed some extra snuggle time.

Holiday baritone 

A Precious Child

I'm fortunate enough to work for a company that allows us to take time off to volunteer during work hours. Last week, I volunteered with a couple co-workers at A Precious Child, which partners with several organizations to provide over 6500 children with gifts this holiday season. We adopted two kids and Return Path supported 105 children in total. It's definitely a good reminder for how fortunate we are and also able to help others in need.

Holiday Cheer

More holiday cheer this weekend. A dinner date with friends in downtown Denver at the new Union Station all decorated for the holidays. Really beautiful. 

A cookie party at the neighbors reminds me what great people we have met in Louisville. 

Eight is Great!

His 8th birthday started with chocolate chip pancakes and ended with two holiday parties. We attended the after school group party which included watching "How to Train Your Dragon 2." T-man stated Ms. Ann was throwing a party on his birthday. We wrapped up the evening at the neighbor's holiday party where T-man burned sticks in the firepits with his friends. 

Today T-man celebrated with his buddies at Chipper's where they bowled and did laser tag. It was a crazy time, but T-man had a good time. To top it off, he scored 4 points in his basketball game. Hard to believe he is 8!  Love this (not so little) guy so much.

Holiday Festivities

Tis the season for holiday gatherings. Saturday night took us to a neighbor's party followed by a drink in downtown Louisville at Por. A really fun evening. 

Tonight was Return Path's holiday party at the Omni Hotel in Broomfield. A low-key gathering but nice to make connections with lots of people.

3rd Annual Louisville Parade of Lights

It's obviously more than 3 years for the parade, but it is our 3rd year participating. T-man and I walked with the Monarch K-8 Mustangs and D-man and Marshall hung out with the Pirates before heading to his basketball game. It was a GORGEOUS night. Definitely one of my favorite Louisville events.
