Go Cougs!!

The house is quiet now that all our visitors have left.  It’s hard to believe the time is over already. It was chilly this week, but at least it was sunny which meant a bit of time outside. D-man started Driver’s Ed Friday and I worked from the neighbor’s house before we hosted Marshall’s cousin and her wife for the COUG/Cyclone game. It was a close game, but the Cougs pulled out the victory. D-Man went to bed (with all his Coug stuff next to him on the air mattress) saying, “I can’t believe they actually won!” 

Saturday took us on a hike at Davidson Mesa and a trip to the Louisville Arboretum before the guys removed the TV from the basement!!  A true Christmas miracle. I’m excited to start organizing and get the pool table in the basement!

We wrapped up the last evening with a delicious brisket and some games. I’m so very fortunate to have such a wonderful Peavy family.

It’s been a lazy couple of days with all of the Peavy family here. We all mostly slept in and had a nice breakfast made by Marshall on the 26th before opening gifts. Then, most of us went on a nice walk while the two young PV boys played ping pong and did legos. We enjoyed yummy risotto (made by Matthew with Jim’s help) and then hit the local dive bar for pool and darts. 

On the 27th, I headed to Nadja’s to work from her house amd the rest of the crew hung out here before heading out for ice skating. I joined them at Tilt and Lucky Pie for games and pizza. It was a cold skating outing, but a fun evening out in Louisville.

Christmas Joy

So cute that the boys both had a hard time going to sleep on Christmas - the magic and anticipation are still there. I love it. D-man was up at  6:30 to go down and lay by the tree (as he has done for several years). We enjoyed opening presents, taking breaks for brunch, playing with toys, and spending out the joy. Both boys were very excited about the pending pool table - T-man so much that he had to leave the room. T-man was excited about the HUGE technic legos and D-man like his WSU basketball tickets and WSU popsocket. I got an amazing day at the spa from Marshall and Marshall is getting his car detailed. 

It was nice to have Claudia and Matthew here to take part in our traditions - the chowder was a hit and Santa even filled stockings for them. The rest of the day was spent enjoying legos and ping pong for T-man and spending time at a friend’s house (playing ping pong) and playing a new pop a shot game for D-man. 

The rest of the Peavy fam arrived around 6:30 and Marshall made an amazing lamb stew for dinner. It’s great to have everyone here - we are so fortunate in so many ways. Merry Christmas to all.

T-man was keeper for entire game of the 6-0 victory in the last game of the fall season. It was fun having a cheering section for him at the game. Such a fun sport season with all his friends. Go Colorado Crushers!
