Flora Farms

Rachel secured a reservation for us at Flora Farms even before we booked our trip here. And what a treat it was. Beautiful grounds, delicious food, wonderful ambience - quite the experience. They certainly make farming look cool.

Cabo Wabo

We ventured out on Tuesday into Cabo San Lucas - about 45 minute drive from our condo.

Marshall found a really great place for lunch with a gorgeous view and delicious food.

We walked along the beach which was a bit of an adventure - avoiding vendors, the waves and the party bars. We ended up hiring a water taxi to take us out to lovers beach (Sea of Cortez side) and divorce beach (Pacific side). It was quite the adventure and we all got quite wet, but it was a fun impromptu excursion.

Cincuenta

My 50th birthday was an absolute lovely day and I felt so fortunate to be in a beautiful place with Marshall and our dear friends. I was certainly made to feel special with decorations, gifts, massages, poolside lunch, some shopping and a gourmet meal prepared for us. During my massage, I reflected on many points in my life journey, and how wonderful a life I have led in my fifty years. Feliz cumpleaños to me.

And thanks to my lovely friends, I have fun pictures to document the amazing day that was my fiftieth birthday.

The Last Day in my Forties

Hard to believe in a way. Thankful for pool time, drinks, laughs, friends, yummy food and so much more.

San Jose del Cabo - the Journey

It always takes longer than you want when traveling south it seems. The good news is that while a bit tedious, it was an easy journey and we arrived at our property around 2:30 pm.

Drake was kind enough to drop us at the airport very early to avoid any Frontier Airlines debacle (and also plan for the busiest Memorial Day travel weekend on record). Fortunately, the lines were short across the board and we had plenty of time to relax at the airport at their new outdoor areas.

The flight arrived around 11:00 local time and we eventually found our way to the rental car counter (which always takes awhile). We made a stop at the grocery store for provisions and made our way to El Encanto de Laguna.

We checked in and received our welcome cocktail at Vero-neo beach club and made our way to the condo around 3:00.

We took some time to lounge at the pool outside the condo and then enjoyed a welcome meal prepared by the chef I had organized.

We then walked along the beach and had an early night given we were up so early.
