Losing is Hard

For a kid that just had the best time in his grade in the mile, had teachers gushing over him during parent-teacher conferences (and having all "As"), and playing on a football team that has only lost two games in 5 seasons, losing is tough. 

It was a hard fought game and D-man had an interception, but in the end, their big player returned a punt for a touchdown and had another monster touchdown run. It's hard to see all the kids so upset, but you learn a lot more from losing than you do from winning. Of course, it's an even harder lesson to learn when you are so used to winning.  But, life is full of winning and losing and all we can do is help our kids learn to do both well (and give lots of hugs).
