GlowCo

Tanner enjoyed his junior homecoming night. Parents were not invited for pictures, but Tanner was kind enough to make sure they took them. The boys did some shopping before, ate pizza and drove a cool car to the dance. Yay for a fun night. 

House Divided

 Well, not much to say…. We were beat. Sigh. Marshall was nice enough to hang both flags - not sure we deserved even that. 

Coed Frisbee

 The MOHI ultimate team started their season off with a victory on Thursday evening. It was a hot day for a game, but the team came away with the W. Tanner was elected captain which speaks so much to his character. Let’s go! 

Jazzy Louisville

 Last minute decision to go downtown on Thursday and listen to live jazz. As I was listening, I was just thinking about how fortunate that I can drive five minutes and be able to listen to some great music. 

HOCO

It was homecoming week at Monarch High this week. Tanner participated in the spirit days most days and is headed to the dance tonight. He went to the game last night as well. 

We had happy hour at friends before heading to the game which had the stands packed given it was Monarch vs. Centaurus (Louisville vs. Lafayette). Also, funny as the Centaurus had to sit on the visiting stands at their own stadium. 

Monarch came away with a resounding victory and we enjoyed cheering on kids we knew in the team and in the band. Love that this event brought out so many in the community - one of the reasons I love this place. 

Estes Park

Another fun Labor Day weekend with the Wrights in the mountains. We hiked, hot tubbed, played games and played pickle ball - lots and lots of pickle ball. We didn’t really leave the premises, but didn’t need to. It was also great to be away from the heat as well. 

We hit a disc golf course for Tanner and Runza for me on the way home. What a wonderful getaway just a bit over an hour from our doorstep. We are fortunate indeed.

Go Cougs!

We ventured down from Estes Park on Saturday to go to the CSU/WSU game in Fort Collins. We walked around campus, got Australian meat pies and tail gates a bit before the 5:00 start. It was a HOT afternoon, but the cloud cover during the game helped tremendously. 

It was fun to cheer on the Cougs to a resounding victory. Go Cougs!
