It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

A holiday week that went by too quickly. We wrapped up on Saturday with breakfast at Popo's, football watching, more flag football, basketball (taking advantage of the 60+ degree weather), exchanging gifts, and an adult-only dinner at the Geiserts. 

Much to be thankful for.

Omaha Birthday Party

What a great day in Omaha celebrating my niece's birthday.

Schulte Wedding

So glad that we made the trip across Nebraska in time to attend my cousin's wedding in Omaha on Saturday. A fun time catching up with family members and teaching D-man about wedding traditions (T-man was not impressed with the event). I remember my first cousin wedding when I was in 8th grade and now sharing a Schulte cousin wedding with my kids is special. 

These shots sum up our time nicely. 

An Evening Out

An expiring gift certificate meant a family evening out at an Italian restaurant down the street from our house. T-man loved the fancy sinks and the bread and D-man tried a seafood dish. 

Unfortunately, the service was not good, but we got a free dessert platter as a result.

Northern California Bliss

I told Marshall I feel spoiled with 2 adult-only trips within 6 weeks. To further confirm, I am my mother, these are the exact same words she used when I chatted with her!

Hitting the sites quickly in San Francisco - Lombard street, Chinatown, North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf, the Marina, and the Presidio 

Staying at a lovely cottage (behind Marshall) in California wine country

Oh What a Beautiful Morning

Well, the morning started out well. And the day ended well with T-man and I "performing" "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" for Marshall, D-man, Claudia, and Bob. 

In the middle, a fall in the shower with his head meeting the soap holder meant a trip to the urgent care for T-man for another glue application.  He was a trooper and celebrated with a trip to DQ (and warmed my heart when he wanted to bring some back for D-man).

Ice Cream Outing

As we enjoy non-frigid temps in California, the boys are enjoying time with Gramma and Granddad. Today included an outing to Sweet Cow which is a special treat for the boys. So fortunate to have a wonderful trip for us and some great memories for the boys with their Grandparents. 

The Next Season

T-man was all ready for his first basketball game of the season. Having Uncle Matt here to cheer him on made it even more special. Go Wolverines! 

The Underdog Wins!

A beautiful fall day for another Pirate Championship. Brunch with the team. Decorating cars. A convincing 28-6 win. Celebration gathering at the local Mexican place. The boys avenged an earlier season loss which was very sweet. 

Another interception capped off a great season for #6. While it was a great victory, it was better to see the smile on D-man's face and hear him say, "that was fun" and "I'm sad the season is over."  So are we D-man.
