The Wiz

A snowy Friday night took us to our first show as part of our subscription to on to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Unfortunately, the couple that was going to join us had to back out at the last minute due to illness. 

We hit a little cocktail bar and got a drink and some nibbles before we headed to the event. We have now really learned our lesson (again) and will not park there again. We were in our seats at 7:35 for the 7:30 show with not much time to spare. 

We had listened to a smidge of the soundtrack and also read a synopsis of the show, but I was still surprised and loved all the dancing, you could definitely feel the 70's influence. And wow - could these folks belt it out! 

Here's to new adventures together.

Senior Stuff

 Jersey day. Senior poster. Last Alana Tournament. Hosting team bonding. All the things. 

Candyland

I'm always so impressed with the post prom decorations and all the hard work that goes into Post Prom We volunteered a bit of time Friday night so we were able to check out the set up and see some friends as well. 

Prom 2025

Tanner had a busy prom evening with two pictures sessions, time with his friends for dinner and then a nice evening with his date. He said the venue for prom was better this year, but it was a big venue so it felt empty. He didn't win any big prizes at post-prom, but he said it was a really fun evening. 

Glad to be Home

Easy travels on Friday to make it back home for Senior Prom. Tanner cut out of the last two periods and we went to pick up the corsage, get blizzards and go to the tailor for his suit. Fun to be able to catch up and spend a it of time together. 

Ron Holt Civic Engagement Award

What a wonderful night celebrating student leaders and Dr. Jean Karlen at the Ron Holt Civic Award ceremony. 

The event was well done with a social hour, a nice dinner and the award ceremony. They kept the bar open after the event for pictures and socializing. 

Jaima, Jacki and I were all sobbing as Mom's mentee gave Mom's introduction. It was amazing to hear about how much my mom has accomplished, all the lives she has influenced and all the different organizations she has been a part of over many years. 

I'm so glad my mom was presented with this award and could be recognized for all her accomplishments. Most people will never have a celebration like this in their lifetime. I'm extremely proud my mom is one person that had one. 

50th Celebration

Jaima's 50th celebrations continued with her girl's celebration hosted by Emma. Jacki and I were fortunate to be able to attend and celebrate our amazing sister!
