Just a quick update for all of you. We met with Dr. Reeder this afternoon. Dad had another cat scan this morning and there has been no change - a good thing. They will continue to drain the spinal fluid and monitor the pressure on the brain. We are waiting for the clot to liquify and this process will take up to two weeks. So, during this time, the key is to keep him calm and his blood pressure down so this process can happen as quickly as possible. A feeding tube has also been inserted into this stomach which I'm guessing dad thinks is a good thing - gotta have some food!
Although an extremely difficult time for all of us, we are optimistic about the direction we are headed and happy to have all of us here together. And an update on the health care policy discussion, we found it quite amusing that today's USA Today had an article to support Jacki's position - we're contemplating giving it to Dr. Reeder :)

Thank goodness for the generation of the bloggers. However the news comes it is getting better all the time. Who thought that 2009 was going to be a quieter year. Amazing what a cosmo or margarita can do to calm things down. Take care all of you and take care of your mom. Praying that Jerry gets stronger everyday.

I am SO glad that thing are on the brighter side. I have been thinking of you guys from here and praying all would be alright. I have been in constant contact with Mom, Dad and Steve to follow the progress.
