Due to the inability to do a one way rental car from northeast Nebraska to Iowa City, my mom and niece were kind enough to road trip from Pender to Iowa City so I could join Tanner for his Iowa Orientation.
We left around 11:45 and made a couple of stops before arriving in Cedar Rapids. One stop was a REALLY nice stop in Holstein and the other took us into Dike, Iowa where my niece and visited a lemonade stand and we used the restroom at the local KwikMart. We sang, we played an ice breaker game, ate snacks, got fun drinks - road trip activities!
We walked around downtown Cedar Rapids as Tanner's flight was delayed and then headed down to Iowa City with Tanner in tow. We checked into the hotel, grabbed dinner downtown, let the kids walk around a bit and then drove around the campus a bit to see The locations of Tanner's classes and his dorm.
It was a lovely day and I'm so thankful for my companions so we could make this happen.
