Family Time at the Lake

It was only a short time at the lake with all of the Peavys this year. As lives change, it gets more complicated to arrange schedules. But, we will take what we can get and cherish the times we have together. Ice cream. Dock time. Delicious salmon. Wordle War III. Pancakes. Paddle boarding. S’mores. Fire pit. Family.

Lumineers

In February, I booked the family tickets to see the Lumineers at Coors Field. We also bought a t-shirt for T-man at that time and it was too big for him - that is not the case now!  

Besides our family trips this summer, we haven’t done much together as D-man has been off on several trips and when he is home, he is working. 

We grabbed food and drinks at the stadium and while hot, we enjoyed the opening acts. The Lumineers started right at 9:00 and my heart was so full with all of us there. T-man knew almost every song and knew all the lyrics. ❤️❤️

It was the biggest crowd the band had played for and I didn’t realize it (but it makes sense), that there aren't many concerts held at Coors Field. I’m glad we were able to attend this one there.

Music in the Park

Thursday night was the final night for music in the park. We were able to attend with the Wrights and also see a few neighbors while we were out. 

Our summer plans have not agreed with the Wrights so we have barely seen each other this summer. To make the most our our one night, we headed to their house for Indian after the music and played a round a cards and caught up. I’m glad we made the most of our evening together.

Giving Back

This weekend was own giving back and some fun. T-man and I (along with another teammate), volunteered for score keeping at a National Ultimate tourney on Friday. It was actually pretty fun and. T-man got to see some high school coaches and some teammates as well. 

Friday night, Marshall and I played in the couples golf scramble. We came in 5th place at 1 under par. A gorgeous night to be on the course. 

On Saturday, I volunteered in the afternoon during the disaster relief hours at A Precious Child. I had the boys drop off some donations so it was a nice surprise ti see these out on the floor. We had a casual night in with T-man and walked over to play some disk golf after dinner. 

On Sunday, T-man had another volunteer shift at the Ultimate Tourney and Marshall and I hosted neighbors for a BBQ (we were long overdue for hosting). Marshall cooked what I believe to be his best brisket yet!) 

We also got the house is better order which feels great. I got the window coverings ordered so we are making progress.

Summer Fri-yay!

This was the first summer Friday we have been home since my company launched this initiative. Since we haven’t been around, there was a lot to do around the house which made the day of quickly. 

I ran out for breakfast burritos and enjoyed my coffee on the front porch. I was able to get in a little yard work during a catch up chat with a former coworker. Then, T-man and I headed out to A Precious Child to volunteer. From there, we picked up our online order at Target and came home for lunch. 

I then headed to Coal Creek Collision for an estimate on the van - we really should have a loyalty card there - jeez! I contemplated going to the pool, but opted for watching Bridgerton, sorting the mail and paying bills. I wrapped up the day taking a meal over to Alana’s parents as Al had surgery today. 

We tried to hang out with folks tonight, but everyone is out of town or busy so we opted for walking over the golf course for drink (I learned they had music this evening) and we also got to see D-man as he was working. 

While we were enjoying our drinks, Ms. Anne (the after school director at Monarch while we were there) walked up. She was so happy to see us and we caught up on life the past several years. We had D-man come up to say hello and had T-man walk over from the house to say hello. She always held the boys in high regard and it was great to beat on them and have her see the great young men they have become. She was so great with them and we have always been thankful of the experience the boys had in her program. 

Our impromptu night ended up being a perfect way to ease into the weekend and see someone we hadn’t seen in years.

A New Look

After three plus years, we get to see T-man’s smile without braces! It’s hard to believe he got them on at the end of 6th grade. How much has changed in three years!
