And So it Begins

It was a rough day for T-man today as he got braces put on his top teeth. He was a trooper and made it through the appointment and the after care session before breaking down in tears in the car. He did not like the way the braces looked and he didn’t like the color he chose. It was a such a change from the start of the appointment where he was eagerly asking a lot of questions.

After chatting during the drive to school, he seemed in a better place, but he was not happy when he got home because the pain started to set in. But, he managed to eat some food and we all sat and chatted during dinner for an hour.

I am so thankful that we all eat together and enjoy it. The cherry and pits discussion gets us started and then the conversation flows from there. It is one of the best parts of my day every day, but I almost take it for granted. It’s good to be reminded of this small part of my day and what a gift it is.

Last picture without braces!

He finally let me take a picture at the end if the day
