We are so fortunate to have friends that live in the beautiful mountains of Colorado (and are willing to host us). After a much later start than anticipated (thanks to ear infections, naps, and traffic), we finally arrived in Eagle around 9:30 on Friday night. Bedtime for the kids and drinks for the adults wrapped up the night.
Saturday brought a very warm and beautiful day on the mountain. We were a bit ambitious with getting T-man up on the mountain, but with some lift rides (up and down) and carrying him, we survived (thanks to Marshall and Dave). D-man and I enjoyed doing a bunch of different types of runs - blues, greens, trees, etc. Let's just say that in the future, I'll be staying out of the trees/bumps. It will not be long before D-man is truly out skiing me.
On Sunday, we enjoyed some breakfast and Dave and Marshall hit the slopes. Beaver Creek had about 6 inches of new snow and the boys got to enjoy some nice powder skiing - much of it barely skied on. Rachel and I hung out with the kids and went to the Gypsum rec center pool. The kids had a great time and it gives Rachel and I some time to catch up since the kids are busying themselves in the water.

We decided to brave the traffic and were pleasantly surprised that the drive took us just over 2 hours with very little traffic. Woohoo! What a great mini-vacation.
